Graphic Design

(Redirigé depuis Digital Graphic Design)

Graphic design students are encouraged to take a critical and singular stance, using graphic design techniques. Working with images, graphic illustrations, signs, typography, page layouts and spatial arrangements are at the heart of our proposals. The object of graphic design is inscription. The choice of tools and media is made in line with the issues raised by the project.

The workshops consider graphic design as a tool for analysis, reflection and investigation of the world's complexity. By raising awareness of the issues facing our society, be they political, environmental, social or cultural, graphic design is as much a subject for thought as a way of thinking. The graphic designer becomes an actor rather than an author.

Rather than aiming for a single answer to a given question, the approach of this orientation is characterized more by the exploration of different creative processes. Research and singular writing are favored, as is experimentation, like a laboratory where doing is encouraged. An openness to other fields, experiences and skills is emphasized in order to build up a set of cross-disciplinary references (art, design, cinema, sound, dance, architecture, science, etc.) and thus enrich one's graphic design practice.
