The Cultural and Visual Studies course will make the possibilities of a transdisciplinary theoretical and transdisciplinary theoretical and methodological framework.

At the crossroads of the humanities and social sciences, cultural anthropology, social history Subaltern Studies, decolonial and postcolonial studies, feminist and queer studies, etc., this course will enable students to grasp the mobile and heterogeneous trajectories of potential fields of reference. The course will also examine how cultural practices are intrinsically linked to socio-economic power structures, institutions, affects, technology, the environment and so on.

In particular, the course will address the visual dimension of cultural studies in order to critically situate concepts of visuality, visibility and counter-visuality, especially with regard to issues related to digital technologies (machine vision, etc.).
