Just as an artist or graphic designer will carefully choose an analog drawing tool, adapt it, or even create it from scratch, why can't we do the same with digital drawing tools? This course is intended to be a place of experimentation, where the question of digital tools, media and environment in relation to the practice of drawing is posed and made sense of. How can we reinterrogate digital tools, hijack them and share them out to experiment with different ways of drawing digitally: algorithms on paper, brushes on screen, physical implementation of a protocol... This research will help us to broaden our practices and the tools available.
