The painting Master course offers a regular follow-up of the students’ practice. These individual or small-group interviews are completed by sessions focused on the analysis of contemporary and historical visual practices. In this course, students are invited to think about the place of painting in today’s world and about the challenges of painting in relation to its history and to other media (photography, sculpture, video, digital image, etc.). The course is focused on further developing the students’ approaches as well as on the mediation of their works. In this perspective, the course dwells on exhibition, layout and oral presentation issues, taking into account the specificity of each student’s practice.
