pedagogical project
The aim of the ‘La friche / Pratiques en espace’ multidisciplinary workshop (AP) is to provide a framework for research into an ecosystem of practices, references, techniques and addresses leading to the creation of space. The creation of space is one of the crucial stages in the proposed pedagogy, which aims to unfold and question the ways in which practice is shared in all its forms.
The AP is organised through the co-existence of collective practice groups (initiated by students and/or the teaching staff) and more individualised follow-up. The AP brings together Bac 2 and Bac 3 students in an integrated process of joint learning and sharing of experience and know-how. The difference between Bac 2 and Bac 3 is the level of achievement targeted and expected. This AP therefore provides a framework for a trajectory that begins in Bac 2 and ends in Bac 3. In Bac 2, students are expected to produce a sketch of their ecosystem, an inventory of their wasteland, its context and its challenges. In Bac 3, students are expected to produce a decontaminated wasteland, an inhabited ecosystem, perennial plants and compost. The third Bachelor's degree is a diploma year that will provide the first stage in the external visibility of the practices, moving from the intimate to the public domain.
educational practice
The ‘La friche / Pratiques en espace’ PA is characterised by its inter- or trans-disciplinary pedagogical approach, guaranteed by the cross-fertilisation of students and teachers from different disciplines. These different approaches form the basis of the pedagogy of this AP, which is open to a broad and experimental conception of practice that multiplies, deepens and anchors the possibilities for each individual. The AP enables each student to continue to build a practice rooted in discovery, experimentation and the diversity of learning, whether internal or external to the school. It is also a place where students can experiment with media other than those usually used in their main options.
In the AP ‘La friche / Pratiques en espace’, we co-create the tools that enable students to overcome and emancipate themselves. Group work aims to establish situations, dynamics and vocabularies that enable students to take control of their artistic practices, whether individual and/or collective. The AP also provides an opportunity to test practices and develop the skills and analytical abilities needed to tackle a specific project independently. The PA is also a time when students can work on sharing their work. This is done by finding ways of bringing the work into contact with its audience, and by experimenting with exhibitions in all their forms and formats.*
