The course provides an understanding of the technical terms associated with the digital nature of contemporary images. A short history of screens and other output media is discussed, as well as the history of the Internet. The web languages HTML and CSS, the preferred media for the circulation of information, are then trained, followed by javascript. The second part of the year focuses on Processing, a JAVA programming environment created by two artists, Fry and Reas, for artists. Image manipulation, generative drawing and real-time animation are some of the software's features.
