This course is about creating an economy that allows students to engage in a professional relationship with their practice. They organise the workshop. They create works alone and in co-operation. They work on an internal (workshop events) as well as on an external (they can for example save to buy magazines, share references, etc.) documentation. They are confronted with public situations and are lead to initiate and reflect on them. Students are invited to start their individual practice in an effective relationship with others, be it other students, the professional world, or other agencies. This relationship with otherness is essential to the course. Of course, this feature is translated in the relationship with techniques, materials and spaces that can be engaged in the sculptural practice.

The studio reflects on spaces, workspaces or reflections, architecture or cosmos, interior space, mental space, living space, their structuring or development, their permanent immaturity, their implications and the forms that are played out there. It will be as much a question of engaging in an explicit “excavation” (research, developments, interrogations, documentation, daydreams) in relation to the projects undertaken as much as of practicing the invested spaces on a human, physical and experimental scale.

The contents develop according to projects and opportunities, which can be brought by one or the other participant of the course, they can be discussed individually or together, knowing that experiences / spaces / environments / documentations / stories are some of the common keys on which we can rely.

Two types of pedagogy are envisaged, they operate in parallel and take into account improvisations, upheavals or possible breaks: The pedagogy on scale 1 where the valuation of the work is not only the teacher's but is organized in the encounter and in the situation. Cross-pedagogy where everyone learns from the other and with the other. We learn among other things.
