Incoming students can apply for the second and third year of a Bachelor's degree, for the first year of a Master's degree or for a research stay as part of their PhD.
In order to take part to the Erasmus+ program and study at erg, you need to meet the following requirements :
A/ To be a student registered in a higher education program leading to a recognized diploma (including doctorate) in one of the participating countries.
B/ To be a citizen of those countries (or hold a continuous (“A”) or permanent (“P”) passport)
C/ To have successfully completed at least the two first years in your institution.
If you wish to spend a semester at erg as an international / Erasmus student, please contact your school’s Erasmus coordinator to ensure there is an agreement between erg and your institution.
Incoming candidates must also send us a portfolio in pdf format.
This portfolio, together with the artistic statement provided in the application form, will be used to evaluate the application and decide whether or not to accept it.
- For non-French speaking students: CEFR level B1 is recommended as most of our courses are taught in French
- please note that as the number of applications often exceeds the number of available study places, we might not be able to accept all applicants. The selection of students is based on the relevance of their applications and the artistic statement and portfolio.
Convention d'études / Learning agreement
The course programme followed at the erg by an incoming Erasmus student is included in the learning agreement drawn up in agreement with the departmental coordinator of the home university. This learning agreement specifies the list of courses followed by the incoming Erasmus student at Erg as well as the number of ECTS credits associated with each of these courses.
Incoming students will find here all the courses available at erg (compulsory and elective) for the second and third year of the Bachelor cycle as well as the first year of the Master cycle. Incoming mobility is not allowed in the first year of the Bachelor cycle and in the second year of the Master cycle, the latter being devoted to the finalization of the student's personal project and the preparation of his/her final thesis. The list proposed in this article is a simplified version of the annual study programmes published in French on this page.
Attention: artistic courses are annual. It is therefore advisable to divide by two the ECTS value indicated in order to obtain the corresponding number of credits for a quadrimester. The general courses are quadrimester courses. Their ECTS value therefore does not change.
You are (future) Erasmus student at the Erg in a situation of disability, disabling illness or learning disabilities?
Erg can offer you a support plan adapted to your profile and to the specific difficulties you are likely to encounter during your studies at the Erg.
Erg is careful to offer you an individualized plan that makes it possible to offer everyone an inclusive higher education, i.e. an education that implements measures aimed at removing or reducing the material, pedagogical, cultural, social and psychological barriers encountered in accessing studies, during studies and in the socio-professional integration of the students who benefit from it.
In concrete terms, any medical situation can be taken into account for the granting of the status of student beneficiary of the provisions of the decree on inclusive higher education. By way of example, this may be a psychological, physiological or anatomical deficiency, a temporary or permanent disability, an attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder, dyslexia, dyspraxia, dysphasia and any other "dys" disorder, a chronic disease but also a visual or hearing deficiency.
As soon as you are granted the status of student beneficiary, an individualized support plan (PAI) will be drawn up by the reception and support service (SAA) in consultation with the student.
This plan may include reasonable accommodation of various kinds:
- Pedagogical (adapted course materials and course notes, course load, monitoring of teaching, acquisition of a learning method, adapted assessments, etc.),
- Material (access to premises, practical and artistic courses, etc.),
- Medical (access to healthcare, etc.),
- Social and cultural (relationship with others, environment, etc.)
- Psychological (assessment, intervention, etc.).
This plan may also include the possibility that another student from the Erg may be trained in order to invest in your individualized support plan to accompany you.
Getting your situation recognized
Before making any request for reasonable accommodation, it is advisable to contact the Reception and Support Service (SAA) to obtain all the information and advice needed to make the request. The SAA is obliged to keep all information and documents sent to it confidential. If you are recognized as a student beneficiary, the SAA will define with you the reasonable accommodations to be put in place, will ensure the effective implementation of your ILP and will continuously evaluate the implementation and adequacy of this ILP with your needs.
Submitting your application
To submit your request, you must complete the Reasonable Accommodation Request Form (see below) and attach the necessary documents.
This application must be submitted to the SAA by :
- 15 November, for the 1st quarter,
- March 15th, for the 2nd quarter.
Applications submitted after these dates will only be considered if duly justified.
However, you are advised to submit your application as soon as possible in order to be able to set up your IAP with peace of mind in the event that your status as a student beneficiary is recognised.
Documents to be provided
In order for your situation to be recognized and for you to benefit from the most appropriate reasonable accommodation, it is necessary to provide at the time of your request :
- Either the decision of a public body responsible for the integration of people with disabilities (AViQ, PHARE, etc.),
- Either, a detailed report on the autonomy (i.e. on the level of the capacity to govern oneself, on the level of the capacity of judgement and on the level of the freedom to act) of the applicant within the Erg established by a specialist in the medical field or by a multidisciplinary team dating from less than one year at the time of the request.
For information purposes, if you have benefited from reasonable accommodation during your secondary school studies, you are asked to provide the decision of your secondary school detailing the reasonable accommodation you were entitled to during your schooling.
This document(s) must be sufficiently detailed to provide a better understanding of your situation and the needs you may have in the context of higher arts studies. The SAA is at your disposal to assist you in the constitution of your file
