This course is designed as an invitation to explore the theoretical and practical knowledge about information-communication, from its history to its present day approaches.

Objective: t o understand social and power structures inherent to all communication processes and to all cultural and media production. In the first four months of the year, we will focus on the evolution of medias and their techniques, the history of their analysis in that they are exemplary of the relationship between culture, power and society. In the second quarter we will see how self-presentation, social classes, cultures and society are shaping communication processes and its signs, whether we look at communication between people or between social groups.
