SPECIALIZED MASTER

Students carry out a work of research supervised by teachers (visual artists, theorists and researchers). The degree provides a direct access to the Art and art sciences doctorate (École doctorale 20). The in-depth Master consists in an artistic part (elaborating and pre–senting an artistic work) and a theoretical one (courses, seminars, conferences, dissertation). The in-depth Master is organized incollaboration with the UCL (Université Catholique at Louvain-La-Neuve) and the ULB (Université Libre de Bruxelles).

DIDACTIC MASTER

The didactic Master includes:

  • the AP multidisciplinary workshop
  • theoretical courses common to all the Masters and those specific to the chosen degree (at erg and at the aggregation module)
  • a dissertation (with an oral presentation)
  • the orientation course
  • internal and external training

Pedagogy has its own history and its own specialists and practitioners, who have developed its concepts, contributed to its evolution and who continue to make of it a dynamic science dedicated to education. Given the role artistic disciplines play in the major trends of thought, the integration of recent concepts linked with current debates and researches constitute a matter of study crucial to this type of teaching. This is why the training will partly focus on socio-cultural, psychological and socio-affective knowledge. These specific studies will make students reflect on the notion of transmission (through interdisciplinary seminars, didactic transposition and integrated pedagogical training) and familiarize them with an array of educational practices (summaries of pedagogical books, elaborate learning and practices, etc.). The training also consists in a reflection based on research and (oral and written) expressional tools, about the best ways to articulate knowledge, allowing students to implement their acquired knowledge during active observational trainings.
